Aerosol Kit Instructions

IMPORTANT: Always wear proper safety gear: respirator, gloves, and eye protection.Avoid spraying during rainy, humid, or exceptionally cold weather.

Aerosol kits are recommended for use on a surface in good condition, which doesn’t require High Build Primers/Filler or repair sanding.

Preparation:

Prepare the surface by removing any areas or parts you do not wish to be painted. If removal is not possible, protect these areas with masking tape. Wash the area thoroughly to remove any grease or dirt from the surface. Ensure that the surface is dry before proceeding to the next step. Wipe down the surface with wax and grease remover, using it only on the areas being painted and avoiding plastics and/or rubber seals that will not be painted. Begin sanding starting with a lower grit, such as 180, and gradually move up. We recommend finishing around 320 to 400 grit or using a scuffing pad with scuffing paste.
Rinse the sanded surface with warm water and dry it using a clean rag and compressed air.
Clean the surface with wax and grease remover.

2K E-Coat DTS Sealer: Refer to the instructions on the can for correct preparation and application recommendations.

For proper adhesion and coverage, you will apply three types of “coats” as described below. Allow 3-5 minutes between each coat.

Dust Coat
Apply 1-2 fast, light passes from the can, lightly coating the surface. This step is crucial for building proper adhesion.

Medium Wet Coat
Apply one coat by moving the spray can at a normal speed with a 50-75% overlap.

Wet Coat
Apply one heavy coat with a 50-75% overlap, spraying it thick enough to look fully wet. Be careful not to apply too heavily to avoid runs.

After the last coat, wait 30 minutes before moving onto the next step.

Didspade Custom Spray Can: Refer to the instructions on the can for correct preparation and application recommendations.

Apply 2 to 3 medium wet coats of the product. Wait a minimum of 10 minutes between coats, or until flashed. For full coverage, we recommend applying 3 coats unless the desired coverage or effect is achieved. After applying the final coat, wait for 30 minutes until the surface is completely dry to the touch before proceeding to the next step.

2K Gloss Topcoat:  Refer to the instructions on the can for correct preparation and application recommendations.

Apply 2-3 wet coats of the product. Allow 5-10 minutes of flash time between coats. Begin unmasking after a minimum of 30 minutes. Wait a minimum of 12 hours at 70 degrees Fahrenheit before handling all painted areas.
